My Story

My healthy lifestyle transformation has had many twists and turns, and it continues even today. Reflecting on my journey, I’ve identified three key areas that played the biggest role in my transformation: nutrition, personal growth, and fitness. By sharing my experiences, I want to provide you with the knowledge, support, and tools to help you reach your goals.

The Nutrition Pivot

In late 2019, my husband was preparing for knee replacement surgery. As an ex-marathon runner, his body had taken a toll, and inflammation was making things worse. When his surgery was delayed, I took the opportunity to overhaul our diet and go all in on anti-inflammatory eating. I also realized that I had a pantry full of high-quality nutrition products that I wasn’t fully utilizing. That’s when I started incorporating them into our daily routine alongside new recipes and strategies.

Cleaning up our diet had an incredible impact on our energy and inflammation levels. During early 2020, when we were mostly homebound, focusing on nutrition became even more important. Convenient, nutrient-dense meals became a game-changer, helping us maintain our health and energy levels.

Personal Growth

As I embraced nutrition, I also dove into personal growth. I discovered John C. Maxwell’s book and course, Today Matters, and it changed my perspective on how I approach life and learning. Having moved multiple times for my husband’s career, my own career path had been anything but linear. Initially, I thought my communications degree would lead me into proofreading, but I quickly realized that was too isolating for me. I had spent 21 years in retail and multi-unit management, thriving on problem-solving, engaging with people, and achieving goals.

This realization led me to pivot into a Virtual Assistant role, which later evolved into a Digital Marketing Specialist position. I enjoyed working with clients, creating content, and building digital strategies. But something was still missing—my passion for health and helping others achieve real, lasting change.

The Fitness Factor

Around the same time, my husband finally had his knee surgery and started physical therapy. While waiting at his PT sessions, I noticed a trainer working with a client. Intrigued, I asked about his program—and then I signed up myself. That was the missing piece.

This was the final ingredient in what I now call my Healthy Lifestyle. The combination of nutrition, mindset growth, and fitness gave me the energy, strength, and confidence to move forward in a way that felt right. I’ve been using “#HealthyLifestyle” on social media for years, and now it’s the foundation of my coaching approach.

Progress Over Perfection

My journey wasn’t a straight line, and yours doesn’t have to be either. While I love a simple point A to point B approach, real change often takes unexpected turns. The key is staying committed and celebrating every milestone along the way. There is no magic overnight fix, but with the right plan and consistent effort, sustainable change is absolutely possible.

For me, the results have been life-changing:
